hey all....i have a 1989 honda accord DX 2-door 5-speed i am wanting to sell. it had a lot of new parts done to it before i got it. it had a bad motor though, and the car has 188K on it. i put a newer engine in it with 124K on it. i can get the car to run, but i am having a problem with fuel control.......its carbureted, (which i know nothing about) and it wants to dump too much fuel into the carb and it dies. well, after i put my own little valve on the fuel line just for an experiment, and i can adjust it and get the car to run........but it isnt regulated, so the car runs lean and idles high. but it runs good, sounds good.....no noises or anything like that. but i dont have time to mess with it....nor do i have any experience with carbureters. so i just wanna get rid of it. the tires look pretty new, i think the brakes are new, there are a lot of reciepts in the car for work that has been done. i bought the car for 200, and the new motor was 200. thats all i want for the car. 400 bucks. maybe one of you can get it and fix it in an hour........who knows. but i dont have time to mess with it, and it needs to be goten rid of. i have been told maybe a needle and seat or something like that could be the problem. it is blue......in pretty good shape. email me at fsikorski@parkland.edu with questions. ill get pics for those who email me. also, will consider trades on parts for my 94 prelude VTEC, or some car stereo equipment. email me with offers. car is located in mattoon, IL. thanks
