I have a 1990 Honda Civic Si HB with the stock D16A6 SOHC motor. I want to replace my valve cover with another one. The only thing wrong with my valve cover is it is peeling, But I do not want to tie up my car while I am waiting to have the custom work done to the valve cover. My question is what years and models of car have the same exact valve cover as mine with no difference or change from my stock one. The other question is where can I find one at a fair price?
its peeling?>? and u want a new one?? DAMN !!?
I am going to tell u a way to get rid of that in minutes....
go to autozone and buy a can of Aircraft Coating remover...
use a 10mm socket and remove the valve cover off the engine...
once u have it out take the valve gasket without braking it...
spray the stuff on the valve cover... let it sit for 2 minutes... ull see all the **** bubbling...
spray with a hose.... let it dry..... put the gasket back into cover and reinstal...
ur valve cover now its going to be aluminum color... looks clean and better than stock black

If the valve cover hasn't been removed in like 5 years or more than 60k miles, you might need to replace the valve cover rubber gasket because it will not reseal if you put it back in; the rubber could have hardened over time.
You can buy krinkle paint at advanced auto too. I krinkled then sprayed red for that "type R" look. But krinkle paint takes a lil while to dry.

I would, But I want to do some custom work, Not sure exactly what yet. I might have it etched or painted with some sort of design, Racing Flag, Flames or a Giant Honda Symbol after shaving the stock one. Chroming after etching is also an option. I really need to think about it, Any ideas?
