I just sold my usdm ITR stock steering wheel with airbag, and i wanna know if there are any precautions i might have to take when i ship it? Could it accidently deploy, and if so i do i prevent it from deploying in transit? thanks in advance.

 

Just curious how much did you sell it for?

 

Just pack it in bubble wrap and put it in a box that leaves about 2-3 inches of room all the way around inside. It wont deploy without power. I would use UPS i ship UPS everyday and i think they do a great job. Make sure you insure it.

there's no way it can deploy. i shipped mine out to the buyer and it got there with no problems

 

Hope you got some good money for it, cause they are damned fun to deploy on purpose with stuff sitting on top of them.

Pack it in bubble wrap and ship it via UPS or FedEx. I prefer FedEx as I've had less stuff delayed (via not taking it off the truck) and less stuff damaged vs UPS.. which has routed some of my items from CA to FL, back to CA, then back to FL... but I think I just have really really bad luck with UPS.. (otherwise I have no clue how they stay in business)
