what do you mean "it"?
its a 1.6l motor with NO TORQUE in a coupe. coupes arent that light. let alone it being an EX wich is the heaviest coupe.

no power options..no a/c....2400lbs plus different engine...maybe 2550lbs with 168 hp.....should it not be faster than an 99-00 Si or Sir whatever you guys call them down there.

sorry dude its gonna run you a mid 15 at best.
HP dosent matter for weight, its torque.
your car could weigh 1000lbs but if you only have 40ftlb of torque your not gonna go anywhere.
you should be happy if you run a mid 15

first off, what are your goals? do you want to be in the 14s...13s? do you just wanna be as fast as some guy you know with a type r or a friend with a mustang? if you have some goals then people can help you figure out what to do to attain them cause it takes some money for a civic to be fast...you should know this. but listen if you do the swap you will be happy with it for awhile b/c it will be an improvement on what you have but when you start to race people then you will want better acceleration. the b16a is not a bad swap for the $$$ but youll never be as fast as you want to be unless you:

A. modify the hell out of it / boost it
B. start off with a motor with more displacement (B18B,C1,C5) and then modify it C. move to a lighter car like a hatch which would shave off 200lbs

anyway you look at it its an investment of 1000s of dollars just to be a little quicker, but hey speed is addictive.
