Strange ABS Problem
My ABS sorta stopped working about a year ago, but I haven't really done anything to correct it only because it works sometimes too.
When I turn the key to the "on" position, I usually wait till all the lights go out on the dash before I fire up the car. Immediately after the car has started, the ABS lamp lights up and when I back out of my driveway, the ABS pump no longer primes.
However...SOMETIMES, when I use the remote start, I have observed (standing next to my car) that the remote start does NOT wait till the lights on the dash go out, and starts the car right away. I can simulate this by turning the key quickly after the "ACC" position....this CAN get the ABS light to stay off and when I back out of my driveway, I can hear the ABS pump prime.
It doesn't always work though, and with winter fast approaching, I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced these symptoms. Warranty expired for my car already (97R) and was hoping somebody knew what is going on. All the related fuses are fine....
Thanks!
