I was thinking of gettin a 88 crx HF and drop a LS in her. I was wondering what times you are all runnin with LS and basic bolt ons?

14.83 @ 89 mph 88' Dx Hatch with b18a i/h/e b16a tranny and jetperformance chip. If I can get this I know that a crx with the same motor can get better.

i agree with the other post...mid 14's for sure if you an drive. I hit a 14.8 in my 90 Si w/ b16 i/e/chip on street tires. An HF is a few hundred pounds lighter.

No a similarly modded B18A is NOT as fast as a B16A. Expect low 15's to high 14's if you can drive.

Im going with high 14s or better on this one. I had a 91 HF w/ ZC and pulled 14.8 from it. I consider myself to be a good driver. You can hit high 14s. And to the people who say an LS cant keep with a B16 youre wrong. My ZC beats B16s from time to time. Torqueless wonder is right... everytime I race my friends B16, Im making power when he is still waiting for his VTEC to come on.... Driveable power people! NOT REVS!

Exactly. 160 horspower versus 140 for the B18A at best. I don't care what you all say, The B16 stock for stock will always pull on the B18 in the top end.

One of my friends has a B16a in a 90 crx si and I pull him all the way to the end of my fifth gear and thats what it takes for him to start to pull away from me.

Man I dont know why your times were that slow. I ran two 15.1's a 15.3 and a 14.83 and I didnt have much of a prob doing it. I know how to drive ok I guess. My car does run alot better than my old civic did with the same swap though. I use to have a 89 dx with the same swap and it didnt feel near as good as this one does. The best time I could pull in the 1/8th mile with it was a 9.5 on slicks and the best time I pulled with the new one in the 1/8th mile on slicks was a 9.1 . I dont know what the ****.
Oh yea and yes when I ran in the 1/4 mile it was on street tires not on slicks.
