I'm not particularly fond of my center console and was wondering what other consoles might fit. my plan right now is to get the armrest and optional audio pannel thing but I'ld really like to raise the console up higher. just as an example I really like the console in my buddies 2k1 AV6. if only the seats weren't so close together.

and failing anything else, how about fabrication? anyone have any idea of how hard it would be to just custom fit a console? would it be something to do in fiberglass? just fishing for ideas here

I plan on making a console out of something like plywood, then covering it with vinyl so it looks alright... maybe after I make it I'm make it again in fiberglass. I'm gonna take the cup holder flip thing out cus its retarded, and have my console bolt right in where the cupholder screws in and where the stock console screws in. Hopefully I'll get it done by winter break. If I do, I'll post some pics.
