Has anyone ever disassembled a 3-piece rim??
let me know if you did and what are the draw backs?
I'm planning to paint the center part of the rims, while leaving the lip polished...
thanks in advance

it couldnt be that hard to get them put back together right, people assemble things all the time that have to be balanced and spin a lot faster..
If you are talking about a true 3 piece wheel, then it may be challenging. The tire should be off the wheel because it will split the halves and the seal. If you break the seal between the halves, you will have a tough time resealing it. It isn't hard, you just need to do it right.
damn it.....hmmm since it might throw off the balance while taking it apart....I'll just tape the HELL!!! out of the fuggin lip then....Thanks for the new knowledge peoples.
