Which coilovers are the best??
Trending Topics
I can't say i know which is the best but i have Ground Controls and it was a cinch to install, you can really tell it is of good quality. I've had it on for over a year now with over 20,000 miles on it and not one problem. It's so simple to adjust the height too. I have no complaints. Now because i said i have no problems, i'm sure with my luck, something bad will happen to my car.
If money is no object, I'd look into JIC or TEIN.
But I think GC/Koni Yellows are a good value. Height adjustable, custom springs, adjustable shocks. I have em on my hatch and it's great.

hey black2kcivic.... nice spellin... "I am getting Koins with eirbach springs y0!"
anyways, if you got the cash for coilovers, and you actually have a purpose for lowering and raising your car's suspension periodically, then yah, go for coilovers. Ground Control seem to be the best. they tend to be a little bouncy, but one of the best over-all coilovers. i heard Skunk2 coilovers are nice, a little more stiff than the Ground Control, but i still prefer the EIBACH springs on the GC's. if you dont wanna spend the money on the coilovers, or dont see a need in being able to raise and lower your ride's height, than just go for some EIBACH springs. the Sportlines are great.
i had GC's on my 2k1 civic, but decided to sell them for cash plus Eibach Sportlines, as i only saw a need in adjusting my ride height when i showed my car, which wasnt too often. btw... my 2k1 civic is for sale. for info, pics, price, questions, etc.... email me @ killerbhatch@aol.com

A serious answer, the best coilovers you can buy is too broad of a question. The best track coilovers would not be ideal on street and vice versus. Do you want all out track, a mix of street and track, or all street? How much you wanna spend is also important.

Tein's, Zeal, or BuddyClub... take your pick
GC's and Skunk2 are not the best but the are the most popular because they are good quality and are priced very nicely. That is why most people have them. Sure you can pay a couple thousand for a top of the line that comes complete with the springs, coilovers, and shocks but who wants to throw away money like that unless if you are some rich dude.
If you don't need to adjust your height, you don't need coilovers at all. If you simply want to get springs, you can get NEUSPEED or Eibach used for about a bill. As for cutting springs, i've been their and done that. Sure it works and all but what happens when you want to turn you car back into stock? Just spend that $100 on good springs.
