i am going to cut the intercooler end tanks so that i will have the inlet and outlet on either end. dont wanna pay for new endtanks

but that i/c looks pretty useless ..there is so much dirt..its clogged up like crazy..
doesnt even look like it could be cleaned..well maybe you could put it in a big bucket of something.

yea soak that intercooler in a huge tub of some degreaser of some sort, like simple green. try that CD2 engine cleaner as well and scrub hard. when do you plan to have your kit finished by? looks good!

that engine cleaner stuff works well

can i soak it in gasoline? then rinse it out with water? or does that leave some kind of varnish?

i would use simple green to be safe. i've always had good luck with the stuff anyways.

the intercooler end tanks are useless with those ports. I had the same one and got rid of it, now i kind of want it back because with custom endtanks it wouldn't be a bad intercooler. The top port will probaly hit the front cross member, at least mine did on my 92 hb.

definently get some degreaser

ok guys i cleaned out the IC. its dam clean! no black at all
also this is what im shooting for. but the left endtank will be square right..

i cut the holes for the endtank on the right already i dont know if imma use JB weld or fiberglass it up.. any opinions

hey thats the same IC i got im gonna leave the end tanks the way they are, turn it upside down have the angled one going toward the left side and run a tube off the compressor right into the straight one, hopefully will work out alright

dood it has a slight angle to the whole intercooler. if you flip it air wont flow well and your gonna loose mass space...
