I am putting a Ls motor(b18a) into my 88 hatchback. I found two hoses that go into the transmission, where the speedometer goes in. The hoses go to the power steering pump. My question is what are these hoses for, and do I i need them hooked up or should I cap them off?

any help would be appreciated.

 

i dont have power sterring , and i didnt cap off those lines. There just kinda chillin there, hope that helps

 

i looped a hose from one to the other..

EDIT: they are for speed sensative steering i believe

mine are just chillin open...no biggie. b18b with a b18a tranny.

I capped mine off with screws. Just find two screws a hair bigger than than the internal part of the hose and screw them in there. Or you can leave them open i don't think it can hurt anything

 

leave them open or loop one hose

 

Or cap em' off or something. Or connect them---Good luck.
