haha...mine failed emissions twice last year. But then again, that was at 274,000 miles, and the most recent test it had before that was in 1994 when it had only 70,000 (which it passed, of course), so that's a pretty big gap. I moved out of the area before I had to take it in again, but I think it 'might' pass now since I found the distributor was bad as well as a rather large vacuum leak.

On a side note.....my 89 LX-i

yes, I know I broke my gauge face, while removing my non-working indiglos

Above pic was taken in Clanton, Alabama on my trip from central IL to south FL last month. Trailer was just under 1000 lbs, trunk was full of stuff, backseat had some stuff, and 2 people in front. She's a workhorse all right! Still on original clutch as well, and runs like she's a day old (seriously!). I my car

My '91 EX has 194,000 and I am at least the 3rd owner. It was a flood recovery to boot so has been in water at least deep enough to cover the floor. The guy before me put 40K on it and what he did fix was half a$$ed at best. But all the important stuff works now (took me about 3 weeks though) and it will still pull down an average of 30 mpg's with a best of 33 and the way I drive that ain't bad. I fully expect to get another 100K out of it but doubt the clutch will make it.

My stepson's '88 LX has about 208,000 on it.

86-89 LXi Accord in my opinion is the best honda ever made.

mine was built in ohio. Most (not all) accords have been built in the USA since november 1, 1982.

My 91 accord (128,000mi) passed inspection last year after three failed attempts, and over $1,000 in repairs. it was from my step-mom and had been beaten(wrecked) and had a poor health care system(because they were planning to give me the car, so why fix it? ) but it was free.

the catalytic converter and o2 sensor are big players in the emissions game

A total of 567,000 miles on my Accords.
I once pulled my 94 Accord home with my 87 DX. It wasn't even straining with 240,000 + miles on it.

Good One Civic
What I really wanna see is a Accord or any Honda get to 500,000 miles with the same engine. That would be some ****
