i want to change the trunk lid on my car to a sedan turnk lid, so that i can put the red/white lens tail lights cuz i was told that the sedan turnk lid will fit, and that i can do that, from another user on this board, seein as how they dont make any tail lights for the coupe. question is, has anyone ever done that before here, or kno someone who has, and if so, where did u get the trunk, and how much did it cost you?

off topic: how long do i need to be part of htis board, or how many posts do i need to make before i become a member and can post more then 5 posts in 24 hours?

Dude i'm not sure if you want to do that cause as far as i can remember the coupe and sedan have different curves at the top of the trunk.....

 

I'm pretty sure that the coupes and sedans have different trunk lids. I don't think they are interchangable.

As for the member thing I believe it is 15 days?

*coupe trunk lids have a curve at the top and the sedans don't have that curve and the curve goes all the way past the trunk lid so i don't think the sedan lid will fit w/o modification

*are these the taillights that you wanted? if so they do make them for coupes, you don't have to convert to sedan trunk lid (pic above is my coupe w/them)

 

 

but i dont have a civic coupe, i have an accord coupe. i noticed it doesn't say that in the topic, but thats cuz i orignially posted this in the accord forum. so to clear things up, i have a 92 accord coupe EX. thanks.

 

for the accords there are no aftermarket 92-93 coupe tail lights. the trunks are exactly the same though in shape, and you can switch them. im guessing it would be around 100 for the lid, but then you either have to get it painted, or find one in your color.

 

so then if i switch the trunk, i can put sedan tail lights on right?
