F22a swap in Civic 4dr 4thGen
My real opinion, the F22a is pretty useless. if you do it, you'll probably be the first EVER.
I would stick to honda's good motors. D or B series.. and H if you got $ and want to go straight.
good luck

BUT you do have a point. There isn't much point in swapping in an F-series when you could go B-series for much cheaper. Isn't the F22 a much heavier engine too? It's all about the weight.

Yes but Its a non insulting question just give a non insulting awnser. Not trying to be a dick but just saying why not make this a pleasnt place to ask questions and give awnsers.

hehe it would be pretty pimp actually
people look under your hood and they see something that looks like the original d16a(valve covers look identical and nobody thinks you'll swap in an f22)
mod that hard and keep it n/a or even nitrous it. imagine all the people you can hustle at street races. just say," it's only a d16!

hmm.... i think i may have idea of what i might do to my civic.

You could gain greater gains with a D16 than the F22. Not worth trying
By the way the point has been made, but guys, remain polite with noobs, you've already been one, I have too, and I'm sure you'd have appreciated not getting flamed, especially that the topic is not a bad one, and doesn't deserve getting flamed.
Good opportunity for a sleepa

The reason because a f22 would be at my sight easyier to swap than a H22a is that I ought to cut in the frame to put this on the bay of a 4thGen..., the F22 is a little less heavy than a H22... and a friend of mine who as a accord 95... have been advised that a flyweel in alu. and a nice 2nd stage clutch would be fantastic. He already got his intake on, and a complete stainless steel line with tanabe muffler... If it's promise a nice gain with this on a ¨crappy heavy accord¨, maybe in a little 850kg car would be incredible... don't you think?

if I choose to make my gay project... could we talk of prices...
a F22b1=
a H22a=
a B16a2=
a B18b =
a B20z=
a B18c5=
Oh by the way, I want prices for motor, tranny, ecu, wiring, cardan joint.
I'll do my own swap with engine brackets that I'm gonna design.

ehhh morons the f22 shares almost same dynamics of h series motors. Read before talking idiots. Gayest motor huh, but id agree, swap a b16, its a really good motor, and would cost around the same to swap in.

oh, and ghey engine, the f22? Check this out. How much moollah for the same result on a B series, even more on the D series? http://home.insightbb.com/~niedejb/regz.html This site dates ashile ago, since then, he resleaved his block with strengthened internals, and he is going for 300 whp and, obviously 300+ lb-ft torque. But it's interesting how, with just simple bolt-ons he managed to get whp figures that were almost equivalent to stock numbers at the flywheel. Speaking of flywheel, this mod was not even made on stage 1, which would have considerably brought up the numbers.
Also, minor detail, you guys are all talking about b-series engine swap, which is a good, and easy swap, I agree, but do you even consider the originality of the project? Or is it because some of you don't know anything else than b engines???
Ok don't give me that crap about handling. That's a lazy answer. Good suspension tuning will take the added weight of the f engine. Because if it didn't, it wouldn't be able to handle a 250lbs big *** either.
Take for example the Renault Clio RS 2.0. A heavier engine in a lightweight chassis, and belive me, it handles a lot better than any civics that have been produced. Shocking? Try them, and you'll know what I'm talking about.
Anyways, I don't believe a CRVTEC is a lot lighter than a SOHC F22B1, the heaviest of all F22's.

Does a beaten engine, which can makes more than 400 000km, can be named the worst engine done by Honda?
I'm sure not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a F22b1=doesnt ususaly come as a swap
a H22a=2300-2300
a B16a=1300-2300(depends on gen)
a B18b =1300-1500
a B20z=Doesnt usualy come as a swap
a B18c1=3000-3500
a B18c5=5000-6000

For the F22... What would be the price of a complete car, if a guy who get a Accord and smash it really bad in the *** or on the 2 sides...
if youve got the money to waste and *MUST* have this engine in your car.....were not stopping you......Go ahead and do it and prove us right or wrong.....theres a reason people swap out f22s for h22s....
F & H Series engines were never meant for an EF,EG,EK Chassis....it tilts backwards in the Accord and Prelude which isnt possible to do in an EF because of how small the engine bay is....
Bottom line if you want to waste 1000 bucks just getting it mounted then go right ahead
It only takes about 400 bucks to get a B series mounted in there
