What do you use to clean your interior?
For a long time, I've been using just a damp cloth to clean my interior. It looks okay...but it looks "dry". Is there anything out there that can be used to condition the vinyl and help make it look "softer" (so to speak)?
I've recently come across some Meguiar's stuff that I've never seen before. Anyone try it yet? I used to use Armor All and I am tempted to use it again, but I can't stand the glare it gives off...plus it left an ugly residue after a while.
BTW, I recently used "Tanner's Preserve" cleaner and conditioner on my shift boot and steering wheel cover. Good stuff.
Now if I only had a leather interior...

try black magic's semi gloss for the dash board,,,its really nice it doesnt leave any of that sticky oily stuff. i used to use armor all but i got tired of lint and dust clinging to the oily residue that it left behind,,if you have leather interior you can use any leather protectant
I use Swiffers (those soft/thick paper towel things that are staticly charged) for dusting the dash. -- I keep one in the mystery compartment at the lower left of the steering column. (both my ITR and CRX had that compartment, it has grooves like it's supposed to hold change, but I don't think that would really work. What's up with it?)
I've used black magic...and it's just like Armor All but not as bad. It still leaves a sticky residue if you begin to start wiping with a damp towel (which is what I did).
Funny how you mentioned using any leather protectant, because that's what I did this weekend...cleaner and conditioner. It's not bad, but it's not good either. I saw some white residue after a few days.
I'd try the static duster thing, but I want something that actually cleans.
As for the "mystery compartment," I just throw all my change in there.

Okay, I finally tried out that Meguiar's stuff. I went to the auto store today and was looking for these convex mirrors that my dad got for his truck, but I couldn't find them. Just so I wouldn't walk out empty-handed, I bought the "professional" Meguiar's platic/vinyl cleaner. It came in a clear bottle and the solution is creamy. I only had time to test it on a door and it came out pretty good. It says to give it a "matte" finish, you have to wipe off the treated spot with a dry towel. Works great I guess...you can make your interior as shiny or as matte as you want. I don't think it's worth $8.00 though.

personally i think most of the protectant stuff is the same, the key is what you use to apply it, certain towels will leave lint and stuff the best thing to use is an old t shirt, t shirts work like magic absorbent and no lint or cotton residue
