On my black R i have soo many rock chips and I was going to paint it, but the rock chips are all over my body because I drive 90 miles a day from work and back so i said might as well paint the whole car.. I really like the yellow Type R..just wanted to know peoples opinions.

Have to take into consideration that not unless you pull the motor and all the glass and paint all the jams, that it is not going to look good. If you re going to repaint, keep it Black.

i wouldn't either.. Just keep it black. Remember, everyone at one point gets tired of what they have, but it will pass and you'll appreciate that you've kept it black.

Keep in mind that changing the color will hurt resale value. It is also a PITA to go from a dark color to a light color, it will be more expensive to have the car painted yellow -vs- black.

 

If you like the yellow so much sell the black and buy a PY

 

Get rid of the R when u get real tired and buy something new, can't keep it forever

 

Keep in mind that yellow paint really attracts thieves and, to a lesser extent, unwanted police attention; i also think a yellow itr is more likely to be vandalized than a black one. If you don't plan on selling the car than you should do whatever the hell you want with it but regardless of what color you decide to repaint it i'd highly recommend a nose bra as they work wonders at keeping rock chips, as well as bugs, off your car on those long road trips and drives. Also, wouldn't any future rock chips be in sharper contrast to yellow paint as opposed to black?-rob

i got mine painted cw (nh-o) and i love it, the R used to be fbp, everything but the engine compartment was painted and its looks great. Do what makes u happy cause u are the one looking, driving and paying for it everyday.

 

i never thought changing the whole color of a car was a good idea...

paint it black again
