Maybe its cause Im so used to them already, but I was driving on a dark road last night and this guy w/ regular halougens passes me. I look at his lights (the light on the road) then look at mine.

My HIDs doesnt seem as bright anymore, seemed like mine was only a lil brighter then the other guys. I have the Phillips 4300k and I bought them like in Aug 02.

Anyone experience this before?

I bought mine around the same time, still bright as hell. Never heard of them getting worse.

 

Try cleaning your lenses.

 

Mine are still hella bright!!!!...got them now for about a month....but i do notice that a lot of newer cars halogens put out a lot of light on the ground!!....still not comparable to HID tho...

 

I seem to have this issue also. I have had mine for about a year. They are 6000k though. I cleaned my lenses and it improved it a little, but I am sure they have gotten dimmer. I was planning on pulling out my capsules and swabbing them with alcohol to make sure they are clean.
BTW, I have phillips ballasts and osram capsules.
