Default VisualDynamics HID question?

I just got my Phillips HID from Trevor yesterday, overall

However I was wondering, my bulbs don't have any O-rings on them. Do anyone else's HID bulbs have O-rings on them? Could this be a problem as far as condensation getting inside the housing?

No O-Rings on those bulbs. I took the O-Rings from my old halogen bulbs and slapped them on there.

how did you get the O-rings to stay on? I tried sticking one on there and it kept coming off.. .I was trying to get the O-ring all the way down to the base of the bulb where the mounting tabs are, but it kept popping back up.

I did it and so can you. Just be careful that the o-ring is not twisted. It will stay on long enough so you can screw the bulb on. And once you succeed, you'll feel that the bulb fits in perfectly and stays on.

Well I got an O-ring on the driver side bulb, but I had to use my knife to help hold the ring in place as I stuck the bulb in the housing. I can't even put one on the driver side right now because the entire headlight housing has to come out to remove the HID bulb from the housing.... stupid large 94-97 ABS pump

Yeah, the passenger side is a very tight squeeze to get that bulb in. I wouldn't suggest doing it unless you have steady hands and very good lighting. It's surprising how much longer the hid bulbs are compared to halogens...

Ya I tried taking the bulb out with the ballast on the abs pump!!...and it was a VERY tight squeeze...lots of potential to mess up the bulb!

The O rings simply make it a more snug fit and will keep water out too.
