I'd like to know as well. Although, I don't see how you would be able to balance the shaft yourself, after replacing all the seals and whatnot...

You really wont need to balance the shaft, as long as you mark the compressor wheel and replace it exactly as it came off. The seals and such wont affect the balance.

The rebuild is for a T3/T4 hybrid not a normal T3. You'll only have the right seals for the turbine side; the compressor seals will be too small. It is a hell of a price compared to the $240 Garrett is asking for the new kits.

I think it says the kits ar for T3 OR T4 turbos, which I take to mean he has kits for T3's and kits for T4's. Now I'm wondering which one will work for my T3/T04B...

That's a good question please Im me or something when you find out as I am curious as well on this topic. It still seems like it's for the hybrid to me though because the T3 and T4 don't share a single seal or ring from what I can tell from mine.

I did my turbonetics t3/t4b with a kit from same. $85, came with seals, bearings, rings and then another $35 or so to have it balanced. Like a previous poster said, I probably could have skipped the rebalance by marking the compressor wheel.

Got it from turbonetics.

Sometimes they'll say they don't sell to individuals and refer you to a dealer. They don't consistently maintain that policy though for some reason.

What would happen if you take off the compressor wheel without marking it and them put it on after rebuilding the turbo?

The thing spins pretty damn fast so an imbalance is going to make it vibrate acclerating wear and tear. Ever had a tire that was out of balance because you put a can of fix-a-flat in it. It's fine on the street but take it on the highway and about 70 that thing will start to shake the steering wheel. Same principle.

Thanks for all the input guys.. i might give this a world.. im on a pretty right budget here and one of my main expensive pieces will be the zdyne silver ecu with the injectors.. i want my fuel management to be very stable and overall best performance so i might as well dish out the cash so i can at least run 10psi on the stock internals.. i mean i love hacks and riggs but with this im pretty confertable going upto 10psi rather than 6 to 8 psi... i can run 8psi dailey and 10 at the track

because it will shift weight to the other side of the shaft, they are balanced by grinding down material to make it the same weight ,if you put the wheel back on the wrong way the weight will be shifted, you will go through bearings fast possably end up hitting the housing with it.
