Default ACT clutches - Heavy Duty vs Xtreme Pressure plates

I was just wondering if there is a big difference in pedal pressure between these two pressure plates?

Thanks!

The pedal pressure is just noticeable its not like alot stiffer its just stiffer. I like the heavy duty pressure plates just cause i always have been using them. For all my friends car they have best luck with these ones. Wear down less throwout bearings.

Again I agree with ya Scott... The ACT Xtreme and Maxx Xtreme clutches both have a heavier petal than the HD which is capable of holding more but over time it is just extra wear on your throw out bearing and thrust washers.. Peace

I have the extreme pressure plate with 6 puck. Not bad when driving but terrible when on a hill or taking off. Thought it was the six puck disc but its not it the pressure plate. I know this because I did a swap using a 4 puck and extreme plate on a stock b16a1 with Hasport mounts. He complained horrably. So, he bought the stosk steet disc same plate because he did not want to buy another kit because he could not return it. But put it back together and he still complaned about shaking a take off. Plus both were cable clutches and both hard to push down. But mine is on a turbo car, his is not. I told him just to get a stock clutch for smoothness plus it should hold about 200wh.

I've got a HD PP and I've driven on another car with the XT PP. The pedal weight is about twice as heavy compared to stock.

The Xtreme PP is easily twice as heavy as the HD, and both grab with a lot more intensity and suddenness compared to the stock PP.

For me, the XT PP is unstreetable b/c my clutch leg would get worn out, especially in a little town with more stops.

However, there are times when I feel like the HDSS isn't enough and I want something that won't fatigue so quickly.
