Rolling fender
I just got my Rota's (40mm offset) and 205/50-15 Azenis put on and the rear fenders definitely need to be rolled (and probably the fronts, but very little). Should I be able to do this with a dremel and baseball bat? Anyone that's done this have any valuable words of advice?
wow...wish i watched how mine was done.
My friend "rollled" my rears for me.
All i know is I inched the car forward a little at a time while he did something with a floor jack handle. It seemed like he used the tire as leverage and put pressure on the lip and rolled the handle as I moved the car forward.....
umm.. something like that.
Sorry i wasnt much help.

Jack the car up just so you have enough wheel gap to squeeze a baseball bat between the tire and fender. Move the bat up and down for a while until the lip of the fender becomes round. Very easy to do, took me like 10 minutes a side.

or you could do it right and cut off the lip. if your start tryin to roll them with a bat or whatever your more likely to crack the paint.
Louisville is your friend
Wow hot rod style! My uncle had to roll the wheel wells on his 65 Malibu and what we did was stick the bat at the back of tire between that and the lip and SLOOOOOOWLY rolled the car forward. I thought about doing this to my hatch but I was always afraid that the quarter panel would just fold with an ugly crease so I never tried it. Does anyone have pics of this on a Hatch or CRX?
Damn, 200 bucks just for that? I used a bat on my friends car with no paint cracks or whatever. http://www.quickhonda.net/fenderRolling.htm
Well, here's an update. I did end up getting them cut (the shop I took it to said they wouldn't roll them because they usually end up cracking paint). One of my fenders is full of bondo from a recent accident repair and I decided this was less likely to **** anything up. Plus, this is going to become a racecar eventually, so the rear panels will be replaced and probably not painted when it stops being a DD. Hopefully no rust till then. It went well, the edge isn't really sharp at all, and it appears I have to more rubbing. I took it on a quick hard run through "the twistiez" and didn't hear anything. Looked at the tires afterwards and they seem to be good now. Just so everyone knows (like you haven't heard it 10 million times already), AZENIS RULE!!! Very good tire for the money. With a fresh alignment is has really transformed the car. They have more ***** than I do (on the street at least), so I'm pretty satisfied. Next, the brakes.
