Box/Enclosure 4 dr Teg
What type of enclourses sound best in a 4dr Integra (ie non hatchback.) I am looking to buy 1 quality 12in woofer. I want more rumble vs punch. What brands do guys/girls prefer. I like the quality of Infinity, but never see people running them. I always see people running JL of RF. What I am really shooting for is the rumble. I listen to 100% hip hop. How about some links to good audio pages. It seems like everyones got a different story and logic behind thier setups, and there are no clear leaders in any space (amps, subs, components.)
Here is what I think I am going to get, please heckle me if you think I should get somthing differnt, I want input!
Q sieres MB Quarts 6.5in components
Top of the line MB Quart 6x9 (I dont think they have a Q sieres 6X9)
Soundstream Reference (older blue ones) 4x75w @4ohm
1 12in Infinity Perfect
1 400wX1 RF amp
Head unit- Sony (w/ the fold down active black mask) Are these respectible?
Or
Pioneer FH-P8800 Tape/CD in dash, this thing looks ill! (see link) I really want a tape player so I can bump tapes made from my tabels. You can get it for $550 on e-bay.

Remember I want my lows low! But I want to stick w/ only 1 woofer for space concerns. I also plan on full dynomat treatment.
I want to keep MSRP around $2,000-$3,000
Thanks!!!

Kickers square solo-barics would provide that rumble you were talking about. A 12" hold a max of 750w. If a proper ported enclosure is constructed, you could have some serious rumble from that single sub.
If I was looking for rumble however, I would go with an Audiomobile Mass 12". They have a huge excursion, with very high output. I'm an installer, and put two in a 96 Blazer. The owner couldn't handle it, he had to get out of his truck. He did, however, have plenty of power going to both of them. Just two cents to pitch in from someone who does this for a living.

hmm... so your a rich guy huh? ha ha thats some heavy hardware your going to buy!. The MB quarts Q series compenants are the ****, so are the Infinity Perfect compenents, but i think you should go with at least 4x100 amp for those high end speakers, as for the 6x9s the mb quarts or infinity kappas are good, i think you should go with a Solobaric L7 these are the best subs out right now! (or maybe the W6) but these hit hard and loud, go with at least a 800 watt amp to power the 12" a PPI would be your best bet. fosgates are good but not "high end" enough for your setup! also as for the headunits DO NOT buy sony, why screw up your awesome setup with a crappy head unit like sony (no offense to sony hu owners) if you really want pioneer go with the premier series peh9200, i suggest a clarion 8-series or higher, or a high end alpine or eclipse
12" audiomobile mass would be louder than the perfect.... and its got REALLY nice SQ as well.. check it out at http://www.audomobileinc.com
Will 400 watts from a PPI amp be enought wattage to do the Audiomobile justice? Will the 10in sound better than the 12in w/ that amount of power?
So this is what I am sitting on now, quite differnt than when I first started. Alpine head (0 watts, just 3 4volt outs) Polk Momo 6.5in, Pioneer 6x9's (the new ones w/ the compression horn) Orion 67.5w x 4 (@ 4 Ohm), and a PPI Extreme 400W x 1 @ 4ohm. 70sq feet of Brown Bread (dynomat stuff.) Still holding off on the sub till I do more reaserch. Eventually Iwill put some picks up, I think this should be quite a respectible set up.
