Just thought i'd show off the new lip I fitted yesterday and the bumper light conversion i did, almost looks like sir lights . I didn't plan on doing either but just found the stuff laying around the shop and said "frick it!". Still need some cleanup work but looks okay. Also a pic of the solid radius rods and chromoly crossmember i made two days ago, I'm going to take some more pics of it today just to show off. it's one of my better welding and fabricating jobs.

looks good, but just get it painted very soon. and how hard was it to fit in the jdm bumper lenses?

 

they're not jdm lenses, let's keep it our little secret, they're 95 integra lenses. and it required about an hour to get them in there good and make the brackets. i'm going to take some night pictures tonight with the bumper lights on!!

 

Can you get some closer shots of the lip and turn signals? What car is that lip off of? Also, how did u cut the bumper to fit the integra turn signals?

what is your radius rod setup? are they factory ones with ends or are they custom built? give me details please, i've been wanting to build my own but havent' decided exactly how yet. thanks. and also, what lip is that?

 

thanks for the comments. first, i've constantly been working on the body so it's not even worth it to me to keep primering and sanding down. i'm going to finish everything tommorrow and go with the played out but always trusty flat black!! The lip is a perfect fit and really easy to mod. i'll take some closeups of that and the lights tommorrow as well. i like the jdm front end more too but it also costs about 700$ more and a lot of people have it. yet to see another hatch w/ teg lights. the radius rods are stock radius rods with tierod ends on them. direct bolt on. and for the lip, i wasn't going to tell but since you're all HT'ers. it's off of a 95-99 nissan 240sx!!sssshhhhhhhhh

that lip looks awesome!! when you say really easy to mod is there cutting involved?Does it need to be reshaped or is it truly "a perfect fit"?

looks good...very creative...but to be honest man...you shouldnt ride around with your car all in the bondo/fiberglass it will swell up if something gets on it...then you will redo everything...best just to shoot some cheap can primer on it man...take the advice cause i did the same thing and now i have rust spots but looks good...good job on the creativity

 

on the lip, i just riveted the middle first a few times and then cut notches out of the back side of the lip to get it to bend the corner perfect. it took seriously like 5 minutes.

 

do you have part #'s on the tie rod ends? i've thought of doing that but haven't gotten around to it.

 

wow, thats a lot of bondo/marglass/figerglass on that car, did u have really bad rust or something?? or is some of that green just paint??

the lip is off of a 95 nissan 240sx. on the tie rod ends i forget the part number but i can get em for like 14$ each.let me know if you're interested. yeah, the green is my old paint. just bondo/duramix on the moldings.

 

why does it say "****" on the side? you shouldent use bondo on side moldings. try kitty hair.

damn bro that's cool u should just skim coat the whole car then block the body
