Default Projectors For 92 Accord

i was wondering if anybody has purchased projector lights for their accord and had any problems with them. i've heard stories where ppl's lights will burn out about every two weeks. I dont feel like, nor have the money to buy head light bulbs every two weeks. i do kno tho, that my friend has a 01 accord, and he had projectors, and his driver side kept burning out on him, so he just got black ion lights, which still look pretty tyte. is there something taht can be done to stop the burning out of the lights, like change wiring or somethin?

thanks in advance

i think you can slightly modify the plastic back on say a 9006 bulb (i think that's the same bulb as whats in the 94-02 teg) and fit it place of the bulbs that usually come with projectors. i've heard the same thing and i think it's because most use fog light bulbs instead of real headlights. at least with teg bulbs you get OE longevity. anybody else reads this lemme know if i'm correct

yea, the ones i'm looking at getting use the H1 and H3 bulbs, which r commonly used in fog lights. btw, the lights that come with it r rated at 5000k, if that has anything to do with wiring, cuz it might make the wires heat up more, thus shorting out...not sure tho

its not the temp of the bulbs output that matters, it's the wattage that the bulb requires to light. shouldn't hurt but check anyways and compare wattage to the stock bulbs

do you care about actually being able to see at night, or just for looks? well either way I personally don't care for them, but you will be losing a lot of light with these. If you want to spend the $, retrofitting some audi or other cars projectors into your housing works great.

i really wish i would have seen all these "do not buy" warnings before i ordered mine a couple weeks ago. is there a way to improve the crappy light output of the stockers for a fairly cheap price?

how bad is light output on after market projectors? is it the same with stock projectors on like a lexus, or does that put out good light output?

retrofit a set of hella projectors into them. you can get them for around $125 shipped. then you will have to figure out how to make them fit into your projectors. I've done a set of 6th gen projectors this way.

heres a place to start http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/

those lens for projector in lexus, beemer ,teg, etc is
design to focus the beams to where ever is needed and
take away most of the glares for incoming traffic.
how they do it? i have no idea.
The only way to cure the situation is to go HID's.
For 330, you'll get a McCulloch 6k shipped within US.
It looks mega sweet on my fd's teg, as well as mine.

not even close they make an OEM quality projector headlight. Good enough to be used as the primary source of forward lighting on the Saleen S7. 100% DOT compliant. And you can retrofit them with a standard D2S HID bulb

alright dude, i've seen you do this way too much...not to be a bitch, but quit sayin "fd's teg"....please say friend's teg instead, as the code FD is a common refrence to a 3rd gen rx7 which is completely different from a teg and confuses the **** outta me often...please...thanks...
