ok here's the deal....i have a 92 aztecgreen (teal) civic hackbatch which i have just installed factory fogs on and my question is....should i paint the fogliight housing body color or keep it grey.....thanks in advance for your opinions, you all seem to be tasteful when it comes to this stuff...also, if you have a pic of OE fogs on your EG, post em!

 

Paint them black to match your lower grille.

I say leave them gray paint them black. I'm not a big fan of paint matched foglights. Just my opinion.

 

riiiiiiight.....considering some people are posting " whats your favorite color eg " and **** like that in the civic TECH forum...screw that ****.....and VETERAN posters posting about "geeeez i hate it when people race their stock civics" i'm just asking a legitimate question.....all i want to know is what people's personal preference (in the EG+ forum) is on the foglight housing, and if anyone needs info on how to paint them or install them, they can ask me

I personally think the grey housing looks dumb. I haven't seen them any other color. Won't hurt to try different colors and see what you like best. I think body color would probably flow better, better than black that is, but it would also be pretty universal to paint them black. what year is your car? If it's a 94-95, paint them body color cause that area was painted stock. If 92-93 keep them black like the vents stock. But, do what you want, be original. Just get a rattle can of your original color from a PPG supplier and spray those suckers

Keep it grey, IMO it looks nice plain.

 

I've seen them color matched on white, red, and black Civics...it doesn't look good IMO.

 

I say leave em Stock. I left mines gray on my black car, looks nice and simple.

They cannot be bought from Honda any longer. I tried a few years ago and they didn't have them back then. Mine are the Pilot brand. They fit pretty well and were easy enough to install. There are better choices for actually illuminating the road, but these compliment the car very nicely.

I've been thinking of painting mine red when I repaint my car. Or I even thought maybe painting them black to match a carbon fiber lip and hood. I've never seen it and I think it might look smooth.
