how can you tell the different between the to? i know the HF mani's come with the cat thing ..but when i bought my rex it came with an si motor

 

Write down your VIN number... Go to honda and they wiLL check what modeL it is for you.

 

Look at the intake manifold, the hf is very tiny like less than 2", and the si is 2.5". Look at the computer to see if it is a pm6 or pm8. Pm6 is an SI. Also, look at the gauge cluster, hf redlines at 4500rpm, si is higher, Check the wheels, Si ARE 14" alum. stock. Does the valve cover say 16 valve, thats an si, hf are 8 valves. Does it have an egr valve near the dist because hf have it there. When you shift the car is there a shift light, hf have one to get the best mileage. Or check the vin.

Notice the different intakes. THe DX is DPFI and the HF is MPFI.

 

dx is 16 valve hf is 8 valve...many differences

 

i don't know about that. i've got a HF and its 16valve

 

i haven't come across w/ a 8 valve hf yet
