Default Technical ECU question

So I just picked up a PG7 ECU as an upgrade for my d16a6 motor. The guy says the ECU is off of an 88-89 Integra. However, when I got the ECU, I noticed that the stamped date on it is from 1987. But the ECU says its a PG7. Is there a difference between the 87 EDU and the 88/89 ECU?

Dont take my word on this but it still could be from an 88 you have to remember that 88's are made in 87 and some are sold even in 87. Everytime I take my car in (91 CRX) I tell them that it is a 91 and they always change it to a 92 cause when they look on my door it was made in 12/91 so I always have to re-tell them that its a 91 I mean geez you would think that they would know that there was no 92 CRX!!

Yeah this is kinda what I am hoping. I guess I'll just have to hook it up and see how it feels.
