Default P28 ecu question

Anybody know if there is a difference between the auto and manual. If so, can you explain. Thanks.

The auto ECU won't work properly with a manual tranny setup. It'll flash codes for the auto lock up soleniod and other garbage that only came with the auto cars. Trust me, I tried one. You can convert an auto to manual spec though.

Is there a way to tell the difference between the 2. Such as the numbers on the side of the ecu.

This converts it to manual but you are still left with the stock fuel, timing, rev limits of the auto
