what are some of the stupid laws in your state that have no apparent purpose, regardiing car modifying?

it's illegal to peel an orange in a new york city hotel room.

 

what about lighting? clear corners, tails, under bodies, interior neons? where do most states stand when it comes to stuff like that?

tvs would be considered a distraction, maybe not to me or you, but some people just aren't as cordinated as the rest of us.

lets see. since i live in califonia, and even worse, in southern CA.. there are 20 million differnt laws on my shoulders. EVERYTHING not stock under the hood needs an E.O sticker. the whackest law i see is JDM engines are illegal, unless you go through the very long process of getting it certified. any engine out of california (from other states) need to be california certified as well. no hyperwhites, its illegal to have even the slightest glare of blue. when i got my fix it ticket for the hyperwhite lights signed off by a officer, he even said that law is plain nonesense bullshit. bottom of headlights have to be at least 22 inches above the ground. what else. theres modified exhaust tickets. plus plenty more

 

Front license plate law is one of the more stupid ones.

I got pulled over the other night for my "illegal" taillights.

Officer said they were illegal because they didnt have amber blinkers, and other integras do! so therefore, mine were illegal.

 

CA police are too ****. they need to just chill on some of the pointless laws. my friends friend got a ticket for illgal use of horn. WTF is that!??!?!

 

actually use of horn is in the DMV driver's handbook.. i remember that one cuz it was the dumbest one in there... horns do get annoying tho.. i prefer using the middle finger..

 

i was in a car for an incident similar to that, cop says "the horns for emergency use only", i didnt see a sticker that said emergency use only on the horn, but ohh well

 

it's illegal to shoot a camel in phoenix.

actually, for us in Oklahoma, its oral sex period..
and, in my town, your supposed to get out of your car, and look both ways for horses crossing and then get back in your car when its safe to cross
