Default jdm ecu work for both obd1 obd2 usdm engine harness?

is this correct? also wouldnt it hurt if you used the jdm ecu since they are set to take 102 octane fuel?

No. It depends on the year of the usdm harness, and the year of the ecu.

yes, either JDM or US civic/integra/prelude ecu's will work in any US civic/integra/prelude, they all have the same ecu pinouts with respect to their OBD type, and if your speaking of a VTEC or non-VTEC ecu.

The programming does differ though, slightly, but not by much. You can't really tell the difference with the *** dyno on most stock JDM vs. US programs.

Although, from past experiences, the only real *** dyno difference test I felt was....the JDM P72 ecu vs. US P72. For some reason the stock JDM P72 really sucks *** in comparison to a US P72 ecu.
