easiest: pull wheel. hit axle nut w/ an impact gun 650lbsof trq prolly required. other wise hit em w/a breaker bar and a big *** extention with the car on the ground. unbolt castle nut on lower ball joint. split ball jount w/ a ball joint splitter ($8 parts store, looks like a big fork) hit that bitch w/ a sledge hammer untill the joint splits. fromthere you canpull the hub off the axle and pull the axle of the diff.
or
if your swaping a trans or clutch or something. pull off wheel. seperate ball joint (lower) pull hub w/ axle out of diff. works if you cant get your axle nuts off.

Works like a charm everytime
if you use a ball joint splitter, grease the fork end up so you don't rip the ball joint boot.
also, you can just remove the lower control arm to remove the axles. you might have to pull the lower shock mount bolt as well though. whenever i have pulled the axle with just removing the control arm, the shocks were all ready removed.
just my $0.02.

ok dont mess with the ball joints alot of times they wont even split. just undo the lower control arm and it all swings to the side. there might be one other thing the unbolt but i cant remember.

i unbolt the upper control, pull down hub assy. and slide to the side axle comes right out. i've swapped both axles in 20 minutes
