h22a jdm or usdm
I say go with the JDM H22A. You can get it for around 2k shipped from http://www.Osakajdmmotors.com They want about 2900 just for the Type-S motor.

Also I read that in Japan they use higher octane fuel than we do, so that along with the higher compression pistons is what gives the JDM motors more power. So really the rated hp for the JDM motors isn't that much over here since we use lower octane fuel, well in most cases.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I read somewhere.

Actually they rate their octane using a slightly different method, so their 98 octane is our 93.
usdm is supposed to be easier to swap though isn't it? heard something about the distributor being different i thought and causing problems down the line when it's time to replace it. i've been thinking i'll just swap a usdm in since i want it done within a weekend and so i don't have to wait 2 months for it to come overseas. that osakajdmmotors.com or what ever, do they have the same kind of sensor and start-up warranty as hmotorsonline.com does? having that extra peace of mind seems like a good trade-off for that extra few hundred dollars

Aren't all of those measures at the crank? I took my jdm H22a4 to the dyno, and you DON'T see those readings. If you can, ask around, I dont' have the link, but there is a link to H22 dyno readings telling you what ecu's they have, all their mods, and their numbers.
