check body panels, esp the rear wheel wells as they are notorious for rusting. the Si comes with a MPFI SOHC non-VTEC engine coded d16a6.

just beware of rust around the bottom of the car because it can become a problem

and of course the seats will probly look like sh*t, but that is to be expected

other than that they are very reliable cars and very fun too, good luck

lug pattern is 4 by 100 as are all hondas with the exception of the 5 lug ones (ITR, V6 Accord, RSX, most other acuras too...)

Check over little things, make sure reverse lights work, signals work, horn works, windows are ON track (i didn't check this when buying mine and only realized it when i got home, it can be a bitch to fix)

Stay away from a DX if you can. The HF and SI are easier to do swaps in due the wiring differences. Tha HF is the lightest, whereas, the SI has more goodies. I'd look for one that was "Grandma owned" that way you will be the first person to drive the shiot out it!

CRXs are notorious for leaks everywhere, I had interior leaks that drained into the spare tire storage area and created alot of rust, as well as in the passanger seat floor, I at one point had an honest to god pool. The water line was above the carpet. The sunroof slides have plastic ends that break alot, open it and make sure they are intact and that the roof slides with ease.

Absolutly EVERYONE skips the underside of teh car when buying so check that out. CV boots are a must to have intact. look for anything curved or bent, there should be nothing under there that way. Everything should be straight. unless its going around something else.

_______

90 CRX Si (still stock)
to Boost, or not to Boost?

NOT TRUE
98-up 4 lug accords have a larger pattern
