What Racing Seats should I get?
I think I'm finally going to break down and get nice seats. I think I will go with the non reclineable since they are cheaper. What brands make a good one for cheap. I see Momo, Sparco, and what others. And what sites can I buy them from?

how big/tall are you?
you using this for street?
if you are going 1 piece racing shell seats, you will need a roll bar or roll cage to protect you in a roll-over
the jdm itr recaro seats are a comfy seat, great quality, and very supportive
if i had the money i would get those

Yeah why would I need a rollcage with any seat I got, how are they more unsafe than a stock seat?
I'm not talking some kind of crude metal seat, I mean a fully unholstered seat, but not reclineable, and with holes for my harnesses.

Nex. 398 shipped for a pair w/ brackets 100% fiberglass. 5pt harness aceptable (5th point in inbetween bottom cushin). 11lbs w/o bracket 14lbswith. varouse colors http://www.dragonintakes.com
i use them w/ my factory seat belts and havent moved a smidge. but see how my **** is routed. left side it thru, right side i go over to the buckle. can fit the strap thru the buckle but its un comfortable. snug as a bug doing it the way i have it set up. im small too

allof the fabric velcros off so you can wash it. head rest padding is removeable so you can fit a helmet in there. leave the pad on if your not wearing a helmet. hitting fiberglass doesnt feel good w/o a pad

i have mine at a 90* angle. if your not used to it its weird. however they're some of the most comfortable seats ive ever sat in.
comfort for me = sence of security ie not sliding around, great shoulder suport and hip suport
there is a foam pad in the lumbar area to suport your back
its a 2 piece bracket. they're L shaped. requires drilling into floor and mounting w/ non suplied bolts. bolts that mount brackets to seat are suplied. theres brackets do not allow you to slide. id imagine you could transfer a normal seat bracket and bolt it to the bottom of the supplied bracket then bolt back into stock location to slide around. ive drilled so many holes to mount a variety of seats so it wasnt a big deal to me.
i'll post pics of how i did it tomorrow. cam is out of bateries and my pc cable is at work.

This...
and
...don't all lead to the same answer and don't fit well together. A one-piece race bucket is designed for track use and is a huge compromise when used on the street (in terms of comfort, convenience, and safety).
What you should look for is a two-piece reclinable non-race seat with good lateral support. Also, if you care about safety and comfort, things like "the cheaper the better" shouldn't be in your vocabulary. You don't have to spend $1,500 on a pair of JDM Recaros to get quality seats, but you also shouldn't spend $300 for a pair of seats. Those are made to look good, but nobody in their right mind (or nobody who's sat in a quality seat) would want to sit in them for very long.
