need help with my carb, stock 89 accord with 2.0 with just 60,000 miles. prob is when you crank it revs up to 2500rpm to 3000rpm and won't come down. some times when you crank it and its hot is does the same. i need to know how to set the choke i guess, unless it is some thing else. help me plezze!!!!

 

Get some carb choke cleaner spray and spray the crap out of it. USe up the whole can. Let it dry before you try to start it.

 

did it.............helped a little for a day or two, back up to 3000 rpm again. i realy need a good pic of the carb and show me the choke and what to ajust............

THe choke is usually a fairly large cylindrical piece mounted to the carb. A lot of times you have to remove it and take it apart to clean it out. If I were you I would just rebuild the carb. The kit from Honda should be pretty cheap, and it will come with new float, jet, gaskets. You will probably get better gas mileage too.

 

i don't think it needs a complete rebuild, it looks clean and only has 60,000 on it.....
