DIY door panels
ok this might be kinda long but im gonna tell you guys how i changed the cloth section of the door panel in my 94 coupe.
1. take off the door panel. there are screws in the handle and in the door lever that need to be taken off. also take off the speaker panel and unclip all the connections for power door locks and stuff.
2. the cloth is held on to the panel by adhesive and the panel is held to the door by melted plastic rivets. get a knife and some pliers and start breaking the rivets off but be careful not to hurt the panel itself.
3. after you get the panel apart take off the existing cloth. as i said before it is held on by adhesive so jsut pull on it. be careful not to tear it because you will need this to be your pattern.
4. take the fabric you want to use to cover it. i used a red suede. and trace the outline of the old cloth onto it. when you are done tracing it cut it out put some spray adhesive on the panel. i used 3M super 77 ( you can get it anywhere ). then attach the cloth to the panel and smooth it out.
5. you probably broke the rivets like i did getting it off. but dont worry. this may sound a lil ghetto but just take some 3M trim adhesive ( available at automotive stores ) and put glue around the plastic where it touches the door. use clamps and ducttape to hold it until it dries. I let mine set overnite.
6. After it dries reattach the door panel to the car the same way you took it off.
I will try to post pics of mine as soon as i get the other panel finished.

I used bolts to re-attach the arm rest. Here's how:

I stripped my brand new car and refit it with leather kit...
It was easy as 123..
the glue on trim i believe was blue..it stick pretty good
i recommend to heat it a little bit and kinda smooth out the
leather couple of time before letting the glue dry..

I've got a 94 Integra with the black-and-grey carpet. I prefer carpet to leather, but my carpet is getting worn out in places, especially the center armrest. Anyone know someplace to get some replacement carpet that looks something like this and would hold up well?
