I am stated in Europe Greece and The Honda h/b 3d Si comes with 110 lousy Hp.THat sucks and i am interested in making something really decent out of my car. I am not yet in the mood for turbines and NOS,just 1stage stuff. So tell me:
1)Air intake.Cold or not? AEM is really as good as people say?HKS?money is NOT the point,quality and most of all TORQUE is!
2)exhaust.Cat and back, thinking of APEXi N1 or a Hipower from HKS?I want all the power i can get and not rust too soon OR not gain HP at all!!!
3)Manifold.Will one be totally needed? Will i gain more? Cost on this one?DC sports or Apex or whatever?Custom made?4-2-1 or 4-1? Will i need one?
4) ECU PROGRAMMING. Should i get an ecu from HONDATA or VAFC from APEXi?I really need clead gas into my mods,air/fuel good ratio that will make me #@$ ponnies!!!!!!
For the intake Aluminium pipping or silicone or plastic?
Ok now how many HP and Nm do you think i'll win?Is it worth it?
And before people say just sell it and buy a better,faster i just want to say this is the car of my life and i finally purchased it so i DONT want to RUIN it or LOOSE hp or just THROW AWAY CASH for NOTHING!I would like to make it about 125-130hp, and feel it in the road!I want good stuff so please all opinions are welcome. 2002 SI? Hatch? Hrm....the one that looks like a Mini-van?

 

The easiest answer is Turbo the damn thing.

 

I believe he said no turbines as in no turbo for the American speaking crowd. I say screw it and do a motor swap on that slug.

 

I don't know how things are in Greece. But here in the US, everybody knows that car is a slug and Honda can't sell them. Furthermore, the 2002 SI came in DEAD LAST in SCCs best 8 cars for under $20000. My advice to you is much the same as theirs: do a complete RSX Type S swap. It is pretty much your only hope as far as getting any kind of power from that car. If this seems pricey, you could always sell your car and work with an older Honda.

Its faster and accellerates better than any civic I have ever driven or been in ....

In the SCC article every car was over 20G's and the CIV SI is only 15-16G's at any lot nowadays.
