i did a search on this...........
and couldnt find it. i have myu headlights pulled apart right now painting them but i want to know if i remove the little housing refector thing that goes around where the headlight goes it would that make the light scatter and not be bright on the road. or would it make it brighter. id ont see the point on having that. and if i remeber right (correct me if im wrong)i believe the ctr lights do not have it. if it makes them brighter but the us just put them on cause they were to bright to drive with that way then i want to take mine off. i cant see worth a **** at night. any help i will be sealing them up tomorrow so i need to know asap....
Ok i tried it. It sucks!!!!! The light goes everywhere. mostly up. nothing really on the road. i guess leave it on the civic r ones must have some kind of different projection to aim it down. So to all you that have this ????? dont do it (from expierince)... but anyway find the post about how to open your headlights and paint them. It works damn good.
okay, now i think I know what you're talking about......that little shield that the headlight points to? on the 96-00 headlights right? well, yeah i think you need those to direct the reflection of the lights and thus making it brighter.
