Bleeding Clutch.... but can't get Full Pedal Pressure. Help?
Ok,
When I'm bleeding my clutch, I can only achieve pedal pressure for the bottom half of the pedal tavel.
Am I doing something wrong?
I'm opening the bleed valve about a 1/4 or 1/8 or a turn, having someone slowly push the pedal to the flow, and shutting the bleed valve just before the pedal reaches the floor, then pulling the pedal back up, and repeating the cycle.
Any tips to get better pedal pressure.
Thanks!

Just did my brothers today. You just leave the thing open and keep pumping the clutch. Once you get no air bubbles (or once it starts coming out a LOT if you have no tube), it's cool. Might help if you pull the clutch pedal all the way out when you pump it too. Be sure to keep filling the resovior as the level goes down steadily.
Ok,
I thought pulling it up while the valve was opened would draw air back into the line.
But thanks, I'll give it a shot.

even me, the tranny guru was proven wrong. There is a check valve SOMEWHERE in the clutch system. I'll find it someday!

Take a vacum tube and stick it on the bleeder tip. Then put the vacum line into a can of fluid so that the tube is submerged. Now pump the clutch a whole bunch and then hold it on the floor and turn the bleeder open. Repeat as neccescary. Shoudnt take much.
