5th Gen. STR intake and throttlebody ?'s
I am interested in picking up an STR intake manifold and a 70mm throttlebody. What do I gain with these(I will be doing stage 2 crower cams and new retainers/springs)in terms of hp and driviability? What do I lose? It says it keeps all the stock sensors and plugs etc. What will the larger tb help with in hp or torque gains?

The throttle body is going to be a good upgrade especially for that motor. 70mm is the right way to go. As for our manifold, yes it does work better on a FI car but we have dyno'd the manifold on a N/A car that was a 2.45 Liter and our manifold increased total HP to almost 300, Plus increased power band. Aaron Schley also runs the manifold on his car and found increased torque and wider power band now these are both b motors. But just keeping you updated on the facts. Watch out for our cast manifold coming soon.

NM, when you said IM, i was thinking of Instant Message, some guy IMed me last night sayin he needed help on a muffler, and currently had an 11sec GSR turbo, and said it was non-VTEC, that VTEC was illegal in the US
