Here's my problem, I need you "EG hatch guys" help please.....????
I'm an owner of a EF civic hatch, it's a 90 Honda Civic hatch w/ a B16.....here's my problem which I need your help. I relocated my battery to the rear and I want to buy I new CAI (cold air intake) preferbly AEM. On my hatch the intake would wrap around the battery (where it used to be) but since I relocated the battery now I want an intake that would go straight through and I know on the EG civics and above the intake goes straight through (cuz the batt. is located up top), so my question is......WHERE is you IAT sensor located, on the intake manifold or on the intake pipe itself????? so...is there a sensor on the intake pipe of a 92-95 civic or is it on the intake manifold??? If the IAT sensor is on the pipe then I would consider not gettin it, but if it's on the manifold (like mine, EF civic) then I would definitly purchase a 92-95 civic CAI, and I know it fits, cuz I've tried a 99 Si (use to have one) AEM CAI. I know I could just leave the hole there or tap it some how, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I hate to see little **** like that messin up the apperance, so I would really appreciate any info you guys could give me...thanks again and sorry for the long post.

make a custom cai
im not sure if a 5g cai would fit into the little hole in the bottom left the same way it does on a 92-95 civic

It's not very hard to plug off the IAT sensor port in the 99-00 Civic Si intake:

My IAT in my ITR motor is on the manifold, so I used a black body clip/zert anf plugged off the IAT port on the AEM intake - very easy and looks fine IMo, and you won't find a pickier **** in here than me!

FYI the 99-00 Civic Si intake is a good deal bigger in diameter than the 1992-1995 Si/EX one.

B18C5-EH2: Is that a 99-00 Si intake in an EG?? Did you have to do anything special to make it fit, or did it drop in?
The 00 Si intake is 3", isn't it?

Thanks b18C5, thanks for you information, I'll get a 99-00 Si CAI then (I sold mine thinkin I could get a better one, I'm a dumbass), but did you say the 3" ITR CAI would work??? Do I need to do any modifications (besides opening the air box hole some more) to get the ITR CAI to fit??? Also, where can I find this "atf plug" that you used, can you explain exactly what it is and where you got it?? Thanks again, I really appreciate the info, thanks.

I dont think that the ITR intake will fit. 4 gen civics are a lot different. I know for a fact that the si intake will fit.
