Im running a 85 Prelude with dual carbs. I like the car but a few things need to be tweaked. Here is my list of problems if you can help with solutions.

1. Shifts seem a little soft like clutch is lagged.

2. Car is real consistant on 87 octane pump gas, but not on other octane levels.

3. 1/8th mile trap speed and time isnt great, 11.35 is average best time speed is 59.75

4. Alot of clutter with 8 million vacume lines, what is really needed in a drag only car.


Car is used only for drag racing, and has brought a second place trophy from its consistancy. I like the idea of it being a low budget racer. Overall cost including car and all current mods is $240.oo or so. I would like to keep the budget low on this car, and be able to get faster runs without doing a engine swap. I am not totally against swapping engines, but so far we are running against our own dial in, not heads up or a set ET.

I know that since Im running against my own dial in, and Im running consistant, there is no need to change anything. But we all know what its like we all want more more more.
