I have a Comptech Power-Pro catback exhaust connected to a Carsound cat and Comptech header. My exhaust will "wobble". You can see it at the end of the exhaust, the tip and muffler "sway" back and forth (now and then, not always constantly) I guess you could say. The tuning shop said this is normal, this is to prevent vibrations going into the passenger compartment. They offered to cinch it down if I want. Is this normal for aftermarket exhausts? Why didn't my stock exhaust do this, and what can I do to my Comptech exhaust to prevent this?

Your stock exhaust did wobble. The comptech is just more noticeable with the polished can and tip.

 

wobbling is normal. just make sure the muffler hangers are attached properly to the chassis.

you should be fine.
