Clutch Pedal is higher than normal???
I was stuck in traffic today (using the clutch alot) and the clutch pedal for some reason is now sitting in a higher position when released? Anyone have an idea?
The clutch fluid probably got hot and expanded. Check it tomorrow, it should be back to normal. If not, you may need to look into bleeding and/or flushing the fluid.
oh forgot to add that the clutch feels loose on the higher portion but when i push down to its orignal height it feels normal? (i'm using Redline Tranny Fluid)
Hm, sounds like air in the clutch line. BTW, tranny fluid and clutch fluid are two separate things. Tranny fluid goes in the tranny (duh
) to lubricate your gears and differential. Clutch fluid goes into a small resevoir next to your brake master cylinder. It creates pressure so you can operate the clutch, and I think it may be the problem.

Tranny is supposed to be changed every 30K. Brake fluid is supposed to be changed at 30K as well, so I would think that clutch fluid would be the same - hold on [checks owner's manual] Well, it says to check every 15, replace at 45 for brakes. I'm pretty sure that the clutch uses DOT 3 brake fluid, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
