Default newbie brake related questions

1.) bleeding - while bleeding your brakes, how many people use that wooden block/not pushing the pedal completely down to the floor technique? any particular reason why you're not supposed to push the pedal completely down?

2.) stainless steel lines - just for pedal feel? i remember something about having to take care of braided lines more since you have to watch for dirt getting stuck between the steel braids. any particular brand that is sleeved to prevent this and/or doesn't stick you with stupid long lines that needs to be zipped tied left and right?

3.) speedbleeders - yay or nay

1) you can damage the MC seals if you push in the pedal too far
2) stainless lines are nice for pedal feel (along with good fluid and an MC brace) - I personally didn't feel much until I put in a MC brace.
3) Speedbleeders work well.

I don't use it, but I understand that I might just need to have a spare master cylinder sitting around because it is POSSIBLE to screw up the MC while bleeding the brakes and pushing the pedal all the way down.

yes.

3.) speedbleeders - yay or nay
matter of preference. I don't use them. Others do.
