damn, finally got this red bar thing under the car on?!!
me and my buddy have ZERO experience in this stuff.. but after 2 hours or so of slave labor... we're done..
after taking a few turns fairly hard... we realized theres almost no more body roll and it's much more stable even in straight ways when u swing the car left/right!!!
2 hours for 2 inexperienced guys.

nice, glad you did it yourself and not have a shop do it

well like i said, we have ZERO experience and diddly squat for tools. we had to use pliers and stuff where people would use monkey wrench's. we only have USDM wrench's... NO metrics so we were not well off. the only hard part which wasn't really hard was lining up the bolts to the red strut brace to the lca's.
right now it has eibach sportline, and a neuspeed upper front.
we're gonna add koni yellows. and civic si front sway bar setup with the JIC lower front brace. and a jdm itr rear upper sway bar.
after all that if theres money to spare, we'll for sure drop in a J's racing pillar bar.
ohEddie HatchBlack , its a 97 civic dx.. same car as yours..
here's a lil pic:

it was just a sarcastic joke. im well aware that metric size nuts/bolts and knicknacks come on all sorts or cars and things. i was just saying usdm cuz in most other countries, they all use metric system.
You know JOKES are not accepted on HT joey.. but man the comptech rear sway bar setup looks nice.. next time hit me up I have a bunch of tools here at my house
Hey bro tell your friedn that he should be VERY careful trying to haul *** in turns because that rear swaybar will really change how the *** end acts in hard cornering.
I'd suggest that he goes easy until he can really push it in a safe environment like an auto-X, because I've known a few people to add a rear sway and "go and try it out" and lose the *** end and then lose the whole car from the resulting accident.
Looks sweet though - that's the kind of rear sway I want to upgrade to once I add a front sway to my car.

Hey man congrats on the install. Gotta love working with the wrong tools. It makes it so much easier!!! haha. But anyways like B18C5 said... be careful!!! Don't want to kill yourself with your new toy that you spent 2 hours workin on!!! but have fun!
if all you had was standard wrenches oddss are you didn't use a torque wrench and the proper metric socket on any of those bolts. even worse, you made them too tight and they will sieze up and/or limit the travel of the suspension.
be careful like everyone says.. you can be tail happy but on an offramp or onramp situation.. always remember to NOT slam on the brakes....
looks hella good

I don't see any grease squeezing out of the bushings either...

Agreed! That bar looks way too big for a DX. What size is it???

22mm REAR with NO FRONT?
Be careful. Thanks for the info. What paint code is that car painted because my dad has a body shop so I think its time for another paint job.

Like Tom said, be VERY careful. From the sounds of it (and the looks of it- put that goddamn phone down!), you haven't had any driver training outside of highschool driver's education. Go hit an autocross to see what your car will do before you try stupid **** on the street.

nice piece tho
