I recently installed a CTR intake cam in my B16. I don't have money for the exhaust cam yet, but I have the opportunity to pick up a GSR exhaust cam for like 20 bux and I was wondering if the increased duration of the GSR exhaust cam over the B16A2 exhaust cam would provide for any gains? Would it be ok to run the GSR exhaust cam with the CTR intake cam?

 

Should be o.k. I think that the GSR and B16 exhaust cams are actually pretty close in spec.

Yeah, the GSR exhaust cam has a longer duration than the Si exhaust cam. GSR exhaust cam duration is 276, Si is 267. Will this extra duration produce any gains in conjunction with a CTR intake cam?

 

it'll give a bit of help. i'd do it for 20 bucks.

 

did you feel a good bump with the ctr cam? i am looking into one for my gsr when i rebuild, but wont waste my time if it is not worth it

CTR or even ITR cams will bump power noticably even when just dropped in.

my 94 GSR motor liked them
