Default noise problem...

here it goes...

b16a2 engine/tranny all stock by the way...

I start my car ahead of time to let it warm up (I live in Canada, it's -26 celcius) when I drive away i hear a whisling sound @ 100 km/h. After pressing down the clutch, the sound goes away. In neutral (still coasting 100 km/h) I rev it to 3200 rpm, still no sound. Then I put it back into 5th the sound reapears then fades away.

A little later I downshift to 4th to slow down, noise manifests itself yet again (this time it fluctuates a lot). I press on the gas a little and the sound once again dissapears.

Any idea what it going on?

Would it not still make noise even when the car is in neutral? Also, i did hear a wierd "woosh" when i started it (accidentaly shifted the steering wheel a bit).

Maybe the power steering?

yeah, a belt pretty much makes noise whenever it wants. Not sure about the whoosh, but start the car, pop the hood, and listen to the belts.

If the sound is only being made when you let the clutch out it could be that your clutch fork is bent a little and it's rubbing.
