Removing 92 civic radio and need some misc wiring info.
Alright, i did a search and they said to take out the console and then remove the 2 8mm bolts... well i removed the console and i dont see any bolts anywhere?? How do i remove the radio?
Also, I need to know what color and the best place to tap into these would be:
-Parking Light Relay wires.
-Left and Right door trigger wires.
-Hatch door trigger wire.
this is for a 1992 Civic Hatchback DX. Thank you!
i already have the DEI wiring diagram so dont post that.

as for the wires, if you already have the dei diagram why are you asking? the wires are right where they say they should be..
Parking Light Relay wires. Red/Black in green plug above fusebox
Left and Right door trigger wires. these wires are common and its the lt green/red in the drives kickpanel there wires are in a factoy plastic loom, remove loom and find wires.
Hatch door trigger wire. grn/blk 2 silv dots in blu plug connection above fusebox
are there any other places besides the plugs above the fuse box where i could tap into those wires?

Yeah i'm installing an alarm. I have everything else connected and working(the car had a clifford alarm before, so most of the wiring was done for me
) I just need to connect the parking light, and door triggers. Are there any tricks for splicing into these wires? the plug seems kinda hard to get to.. Thank for all the replies!

remove the dash trim and you and also get the knee bolster out w/ a 10 mm socket, and its even ok to unplug them as these wires will not affect anything in the car like newer cars and none of them are for abs so its cool to unplug, you may have set the clock or presets onthe radio i forget.. goodluck

i have another question... I have my dual shock sensor/glass break sensor right infront of the shifter(right under the cup holders) I zip tied it to the metal(its really tight on there, i cant move it at all.) Whats a good way to set the sensativity? Set it more sensative until it goes off with a smack to the car? I kick the tires and it goes off. Thanks.
Haha me again! Ok well i fallowed the DEI instructions, and tried to tap into the door triggers at the drivers kick panel... it says the door trigger is the Light GREEN/RED well there were no light green/red. There was a dark green/red with silver dots in it, spliced into it, didnt work. I took apart the door trigger and saw that it had a light green/blue wire, i fallowed that and it turned into a green/blue with silver dots. BUT there were TWO dark green/red wires right next to it(at the connector) Do i tap into BOTH dark green/red wires? I tapped into the green/blue with silver dots and it only triggers the drivers side door. I'm stumped here.

I know i can do it!!! I installed it on my crx with no problem, and my brother installed the WHOLE system today in his toyota pickup. For some reason its harder in the hatch... Like my previous question, there are 2 green/red wires and no light green/red wires... which one do i splice into?
I come with good news, i completed the install and everything works perfect. All is well in installer land. There were 2 green/red wires, so i tapped into both and saw which one worked. Everything else was pretty simple. I also installed the diodes for the trunk/hood trigger. Thank for all the help!
