Is this an OEM 99-00 Civic Si stock axleback muffler? Does the OEM Si chrome exhaust tip look like that (as in the pics)??
Or is this another OEM honda muffler like the 96-00 Civic EX with an aftermarket chrome tip?













I need to know if this is real, thanks guys

EK Si piping is 2"
All other EK civics(including the EX coupe) are 1.75"

People with 99-00 Si civics, Is this an exactly the same muffler that comes with the Si?

Well that is definately not the same tip that is on my 99 Si.

 

that axleback looks like the civic sedan my dad use to have. it was a 93 lx but im not really sure if it is it. looked like it though so who knows?

Yeah...mine didnt look like that...that is an aftermarket bolt on tip!

 

now I know that the tip is not oem si, what about the muffler itself?

i know for a fact an Si muffler doesn't have that stamped on it.

 

That muffler has is using two tips. The Si tip is underneath that aftermarket coffee can.

 

uhh that is just a bolt on tip looks like....perhaps a Pep Boyz SUPER POWER exhaust Special!!! but muffler looks stock to me

 

do u know what exactly is stamped on the back of an oem 99-00 Si axleback?

or do u guys have pics or can take pics of your 99-00 oem Si muffler?

rule out the 99-00 Si. I can tell you right now it's not one. I have an 00 Si muffler in my backyard and the hangers are not mounted there..

 

Hey guys, now is this an exact 99-00 Si stock exhaust?
The pipe where the chrome tip attaches seems significantly shorter
So are these pics below, a REAL 99-00 Si stock exhaust??

 

that exhaust looks just like the muffler i took off my 95 coupe that is sitting in the garage.. its not an oem, its from midas (previous owner replaced it) and there is a lotta rust on that thing for it to be from such a new car if you ask me.. must have some harsh weather around you

Having 2.25 crush bent piping done at a muffler shop doesn't do any better than a stock Si exhaust which can be found fairly cheap sometimes.

 

Indeed, so make sure your custom exhaust is Mandrel bent. Great bang for the buck, as long as they aren't using crush bends.

 

Looks like it should belong on an LS Teg, but I might be mistaken.
